Cinnamon Butter is a smooth, sweet, and lightly spiced spread that melts beautifully over warm bread, pancakes, and waffles. Made with just a few simple ingredients, it adds comforting flavor to everyday meals and special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup (30 g) powdered sugar or 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the softened butter in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the powdered sugar or honey and mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Stir in the ground cinnamon and vanilla extract if using.
  4. Add a small pinch of salt if desired.
  5. Beat the mixture until light and fluffy, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or cinnamon to your preference.
  7. Transfer to a serving dish or shape into a log using parchment paper and refrigerate for about 30 minutes if a firmer texture is desired.

Notes

  • Add a drizzle of maple syrup for deeper sweetness.
  • Use brown sugar instead of powdered sugar for a subtle caramel-like flavor.
  • Mix in a pinch of nutmeg or pumpkin spice for a seasonal twist.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Let sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before serving for easy spreading.
