The Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie is a creamy, decadent drink combining the rich flavors of chocolate and peanut butter with wholesome ingredients like banana, yogurt, and seeds—perfect for breakfast, post-workout, or a healthy treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder or 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt or non-dairy yogurt
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax seeds (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional, as needed)

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen banana, peanut butter, cocoa powder, and yogurt into a blender.
  2. Add the almond milk and optional maple syrup or honey.
  3. Include chia seeds or flax seeds if using.
  4. Toss in a few ice cubes for a thicker smoothie.
  5. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides if needed.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or consistency by adding more milk or banana.
  7. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Use chocolate protein powder to increase protein content.
  • For a vegan version, use plant-based yogurt and maple syrup.
  • Swap peanut butter for sunflower seed butter to make it nut-free.
  • Add a shot of espresso for a mocha twist.
  • Best served fresh, but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
