Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • Mash the ripe bananas in a bowl until smooth.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  • Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in mashed bananas and chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into the greased loaf pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for extra sweetness and moisture.
  • Avoid overmixing the batter to keep it light and fluffy.
  • For even chocolate distribution, lightly coat chocolate chips in flour before adding them.
