Chicken taco pizza is a fun fusion dish that combines seasoned chicken, melty cheese, and fresh taco toppings on a crispy pizza crust.

Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup salsa or taco sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/4 cup corn (optional)
  • 1/4 cup black beans (optional)
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce or cabbage
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Lime wedges (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 230°C (450°F).
  2. In a bowl, toss shredded chicken with taco seasoning and olive oil.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and place it on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Spread a thin layer of salsa or taco sauce over the dough.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly over the sauce.
  6. Add the seasoned chicken, red onion, corn, and black beans.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from the oven and top with chopped tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, and cilantro.
  9. Slice and serve with lime wedges if desired.
