Chicken Sausage Rolls are savory pastries made with seasoned ground chicken wrapped in flaky puff pastry, perfect for snacks, parties, or lunchboxes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 2 sheets puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg (beaten, divided)
  • 1 tsp dried herbs (parsley, thyme, or oregano)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: 1 tsp mustard
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp chili flakes
  • Optional: 1/4 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine ground chicken, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, half the beaten egg, dried herbs, salt, pepper, and any optional ingredients. Mix well.
  3. Roll out puff pastry sheets and cut into rectangles or strips.
  4. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture along one edge of each pastry strip and roll tightly. Seal the edge with a bit of the remaining beaten egg.
  5. Place rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush tops with remaining beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and the chicken is fully cooked.
  8. Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
