  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Jalapeños, spinach, or pineapple (optional toppings)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Place a pizza stone in the oven if using.
  2. Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to desired thickness and transfer to a pizza pan or parchment paper.
  3. Brush dough lightly with olive oil.
  4. Spread pizza sauce or barbecue sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.
  5. Season cooked chicken with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Distribute evenly over the sauce.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the chicken.
  7. Add red onion, bell peppers, mushrooms, and desired toppings. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • A preheated pizza stone helps create a crispier crust.
  • Avoid overloading with sauce or toppings to prevent sogginess.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the oven for best texture.
