Chicken pizza is a flavorful and satisfying twist on classic pizza, topped with tender seasoned chicken, melted mozzarella, and fresh vegetables over a crispy golden crust. It’s versatile, family-friendly, and perfect for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 3/4 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • Optional: mushrooms, spinach, jalapeños, fresh basil, red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly grease a pizza pan or baking sheet.
  2. In a bowl, toss cooked chicken with olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Roll out pizza dough to desired shape and place on prepared pan.
  4. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the crust, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  6. Evenly distribute seasoned chicken over the cheese.
  7. Top with remaining mozzarella, red onions, bell peppers, and olives.
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let rest a few minutes before slicing. Add fresh toppings if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Avoid overloading with sauce or toppings to keep the crust crispy.
  • Pre-bake the crust for 3–4 minutes for extra crispiness if desired.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Freeze slices tightly wrapped for up to 2 months.
