Chicken Crescent Wreath is a savory, golden-baked ring filled with creamy, cheesy shredded chicken wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough. It’s an impressive yet easy-to-make dish perfect for holidays, potlucks, or a cozy family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie or homemade)
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise or sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped bell peppers
  • Optional: 1/4 cup cooked bacon bits
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream cheese, mayonnaise or sour cream, shredded cheese, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until fully combined. Stir in any optional ingredients if using.
  3. Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. Arrange them in a circle on the baking sheet with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the points facing outward, forming a wreath shape.
  4. Spoon the chicken mixture in a ring around the center of the wreath, covering the overlapping dough areas.
  5. Fold the pointed ends of the dough triangles over the filling and tuck under the center to seal.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Let cool slightly, garnish with parsley if desired, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use well-drained chicken to avoid a soggy filling.
  • You can prepare the filling a day ahead and assemble just before baking.
  • Try using a small bowl in the center of the wreath when shaping to help guide the circle.
  • Serve with dipping sauces like ranch, honey mustard, or salsa for extra flavor.
