  3. 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  4. 1/2 cup sour cream
  5. 1/2 cup chicken broth (or water)
  6. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  8. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  9. 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  10. 1 tablespoon butter (for greasing the pan)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  1. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Stir in the shredded chicken and mix until evenly coated.
  4. Prepare the stuffing mix according to the package instructions. Most boxed stuffing mixes require boiling water and butter, then letting the mixture sit for a few minutes to absorb the liquid.
  5. Once the stuffing is ready, spread it evenly over the chicken mixture in the baking dish.
  6. Optional: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the stuffing for added flavor and a melty topping.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
