- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Spread cooked sausage evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the sausage.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the sausage and cheese layer.
- Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the egg mixture.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the tater tots.
- Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, or until eggs are set and tater tots are golden and crispy.
- Let cool for 5–10 minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired and serve warm.
