Cheesy Chicken Crescent Rolls are flaky, golden-brown pastries filled with creamy shredded chicken and melty cheddar cheese. Made with store-bought crescent roll dough, this easy recipe is perfect for a comforting appetizer, quick dinner, or kid-friendly snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie works great)
  • 1 can crescent roll dough (8-count)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing)
  • Chopped parsley or chives (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles.
  4. Place 1–2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture on the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Roll each crescent from the wide end toward the point, tucking in the sides slightly.
  6. Arrange on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with melted butter.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley or chives and serve warm.

Notes

  • Don’t overfill the crescents to prevent leaking.
  • Make mini versions for appetizers by cutting each triangle in half.
  • To freeze: wrap unbaked rolls individually and store for up to 2 months. Thaw before baking.
  • Try different cheeses like mozzarella or pepper jack for variety.
