Cheeseburger Sliders are mini versions of the classic burger, made with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and soft buns baked together until golden. They’re fun, flavorful, and perfect for parties, game nights, or family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 810 slices cheddar, American, or preferred cheese
  • 1/2 cup pickles (optional)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (optional)
  • 2 tbsp mustard (optional)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until beef is browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Remove from heat.
  4. Slice slider buns in half horizontally, keeping halves intact.
  5. Place bottom buns in a greased baking dish.
  6. Spread beef mixture evenly over buns.
  7. Layer cheese slices over beef. Add pickles, ketchup, or mustard if desired.
  8. Place top buns over filling.
  9. Brush melted butter over buns and sprinkle sesame seeds if using.
  10. Cover loosely with foil and bake 10 minutes. Remove foil and bake 5–7 minutes more, until cheese is melted and tops are golden.
  11. Cool slightly, slice, and serve.

Notes

  • Use Hawaiian rolls for a sweeter flavor or standard slider buns for a classic taste.
  • Assemble ahead and refrigerate, then bake before serving.
  • For extra crisp tops, bake uncovered a few extra minutes.
  • Customize with bacon, jalapeños, or BBQ sauce for variety.
  • Best eaten fresh, but leftovers reheat well in the oven.
