Cheeseburger pizza is a fun comfort food mashup that combines seasoned ground beef, melty cheese, and classic burger toppings on a crispy golden crust. It’s savory, satisfying, and perfect for family dinners, game nights, or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup dill pickle slices, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Optional: cooked bacon crumbles, sliced tomatoes, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly grease a pizza pan or baking sheet.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until browned. Drain excess grease and set aside.
  3. Roll out pizza dough to desired shape and place on prepared pan. Brush edges lightly with olive oil.
  4. Mix ketchup and mustard in a small bowl and spread evenly over the crust, leaving a small border.
  5. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  6. Evenly distribute cooked ground beef over the cheese.
  7. Top with remaining mozzarella and shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Add sliced red onions.
  9. Bake for 12–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from oven and top with chopped dill pickles and optional toppings. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Drain the beef well to prevent a soggy crust.
  • Use store-bought dough for convenience.
  • Add shredded lettuce after baking for a true cheeseburger feel.
  • For a crispier crust, pre-bake the dough for 3–4 minutes before adding toppings.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
