1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey for a leaner option)
1 tablespoon olive oil (if needed)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 cups lettuce (such as romaine or iceberg), chopped
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 avocado, sliced
1/4 cup pickles, sliced (optional)
1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or your favorite cheese)
2 tablespoons mustard or ketchup (optional, for drizzling)
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil, if necessary. Once hot, add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and fully cooked (about 8-10 minutes). Drain any excess fat if needed.
Add garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the cooked ground beef. Stir to combine and set aside.
In a large bowl, layer the chopped lettuce as the base.
Top the lettuce with the cooked ground beef mixture.
Add the sliced cherry tomatoes, red onion, avocado, and pickles (if using).
Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top of the bowl.
Drizzle with mustard or ketchup, if desired, or any of your favorite burger toppings like mayonnaise, ranch, or BBQ sauce.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Cheese Variations: Switch up the cheese and use mozzarella, provolone, or pepper jack for different flavors.
Veggie Toppings: Add other veggies such as bell peppers, cucumbers, or even sautéed mushrooms to enhance the flavor.
Bacon: For extra crunch and flavor, top the burger bowl with crispy bacon crumbles.
Spicy Burger: Add jalapeños or a drizzle of sriracha to give the burger bowl some heat.
Different Meats: Try using ground turkey, chicken, or even a veggie patty for a different twist.
