Brownie Pie is a rich and fudgy chocolate dessert with a crisp, crackly top and a soft, gooey center. Baked in a pie dish for easy slicing, this decadent treat is perfect served warm with ice cream or enjoyed on its own.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chunks or chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish or line with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips together in a microwave-safe bowl in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Stir melted chocolate mixture into the sugar mixture until smooth.
  5. Add flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in additional chocolate chunks if using.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pie dish and spread evenly.
  8. Bake 30–35 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly soft.
  9. Cool at least 20 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Do not overbake to maintain a fudgy center.
  • A toothpick should come out with moist crumbs, not wet batter.
  • Store at room temperature up to 3 days or refrigerate up to 5 days.
  • Freeze slices individually for up to 2 months.
  • Warm slightly before serving for extra gooey texture.
