Blackberry Honeydew Salad with Basil is a refreshing fruit salad combining juicy honeydew melon, tart blackberries, and fresh basil, all brightened with a squeeze of lime and optional honey. It’s light, vibrant, and perfect for summer meals or brunches.

Ingredients

  1. 4 cups honeydew melon, cubed or balled
  2. 1 1/2 cups fresh blackberries
  3. 12 tbsp honey or agave syrup (optional)
  4. 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  5. 2 tbsp fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced
  6. Pinch of salt

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the honeydew melon and blackberries.

  1. Drizzle with honey or agave (if using) and fresh lime juice.
  2. Gently toss to coat the fruit evenly without crushing the blackberries.
  3. Sprinkle with sliced basil and a pinch of salt.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes before serving for best flavor.

Notes

  • Add blueberries, strawberries, or watermelon for variety and extra color.
  • Mint can be used instead of basil for a more classic fruit salad flavor.
  • Top with crumbled feta or goat cheese for a savory twist.
  • Best served fresh—add basil just before serving to keep it vibrant.
  • Can be turned into a dessert with vanilla yogurt or a scoop of sorbet.
