Black Pepper Beef Noodles is a bold and savory dish featuring tender strips of beef tossed with silky noodles in a rich, aromatic black pepper sauce. Quick and satisfying, it delivers restaurant-style flavor in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces egg noodles or rice noodles
  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce (optional)
  • 1/4 cup beef broth or water
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and marinate for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  4. Add the beef in a single layer and sear for 1 to 2 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  5. Add the remaining oil to the pan. Sauté garlic and onion until fragrant and slightly softened.
  6. Add the sliced bell pepper and stir-fry for 1 to 2 minutes.
  7. Return the beef to the pan and stir in the freshly ground black pepper and dark soy sauce if using.
  8. Pour in the beef broth or water and simmer briefly to create a light sauce.
  9. Add the cooked noodles and toss until evenly coated and heated through.
  10. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Slice the beef thinly against the grain for maximum tenderness.
  • Cook the beef quickly over high heat to prevent overcooking.
  • Add extra broth and soy sauce if you prefer a saucier dish.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat with a splash of water to loosen the sauce.
