Ingredients

  1. 1 pound ground beef
    1 small onion, diced
    2 cloves garlic, minced
8 ounces elbow macaroni or small pasta
    1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    1/2 cup pickles, chopped
    1 cup shredded lettuce
1 cup Big Mac sauce (recipe below or store-bought)
    Salt and pepper to taste
    Big Mac Sauce:
    1/2 cup mayonnaise
    2 tablespoons ketchup
    1 tablespoon yellow mustard
    1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
    1 teaspoon white vinegar
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon onion powder
    Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned and onions are tender. Drain excess fat. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix all Big Mac sauce ingredients until smooth.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, beef mixture, and half of the Big Mac sauce.
  4. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish. Spread remaining sauce over the top.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and chopped pickles evenly over the casserole.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from oven and top with shredded lettuce before serving.

Notes

  1. Top with sliced raw or caramelized onions for added flavor.
  2. Use American, mozzarella, or pepper jack cheese for variety.
  3. Add diced jalapeños or hot sauce for a spicy kick.
  4. Substitute pasta with cauliflower rice or spiralized zucchini for a low-carb option.
