This oven-baked version elevates the classic spaghetti and meatballs by adding a cheesy, golden crust, making it a family favorite for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound spaghetti
1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
    1 tablespoon olive oil
32 cooked meatballs (store-bought or homemade)
    2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
    ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
    1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
    Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil or cooking spray.

  1. Cook Spaghetti: Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and return to the pot.
  2. Combine with Sauce: Pour the marinara sauce over the cooked spaghetti. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and toss to combine.
  3. Assemble the Dish: Spread the sauced spaghetti evenly in the prepared baking dish. Place the meatballs on top of the spaghetti.
  4. Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheeses evenly over the meatballs and spaghetti.
  5. Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve: Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
