Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp lemon zest
3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
2 tbsp olive oil
1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a bowl, toss shrimp with garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, white wine (if using), red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in a greased baking dish.
In another bowl, combine melted butter with panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and parsley.
Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the shrimp.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and the topping is golden.
For extra crispiness, broil for 1–2 minutes, watching closely.
Serve immediately with lemon wedges and extra parsley, if desired.
Notes
Thaw and dry shrimp thoroughly if using frozen.
Use gluten-free panko for a gluten-free version.
Broiling at the end adds extra crunch to the topping.
Do not overbake—shrimp cook quickly and can become rubbery.
