Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, Italian seasoning, or dried herbs
  • Fresh parsley or lemon wedges (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  3. Place chicken on a baking sheet or in a baking dish.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and rub to coat evenly.
  5. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and any additional herbs or spices.
  6. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley or lemon juice if desired.

Notes

  • Brining the chicken for 30 minutes beforehand improves juiciness and flavor.
  • Use a meat thermometer to prevent overcooking.
  • Letting the chicken rest after baking helps retain moisture.
  • Great for meal prep—slice and store for use in various dishes throughout the week.
  • Can be customized easily with different marinades or spice blends.
