Baked Black Truffle Stuffed Brie is a creamy, aromatic appetizer featuring warm, melty Brie layered with earthy black truffle. Elegant yet simple, it makes a stunning centerpiece for gatherings and special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce / 225 g) wheel of Brie cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh black truffle, finely grated or thinly shaved
  • 1/2 teaspoon truffle oil (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Sliced baguette or crackers, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Using a sharp knife, carefully slice the Brie wheel horizontally in half to create two even layers.
  3. Evenly distribute the grated or shaved black truffle over the bottom half of the Brie.
  4. Place the top half back on and gently press to secure the filling.
  5. Transfer the stuffed Brie to a small baking dish lined with parchment paper.
  6. If desired, drizzle lightly with truffle oil and sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the cheese is soft and just beginning to ooze but still holds its shape.
  8. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes.
  9. Optionally drizzle with honey and sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves before serving.
  10. Serve warm with sliced baguette or crackers.

Notes

  • Add toasted chopped walnuts between the layers for added crunch.
  • Wrap the stuffed Brie in puff pastry before baking for a more dramatic presentation.
  • Assemble a few hours ahead and refrigerate, then bake just before serving.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat gently in the oven.
  • Freezing is not recommended as it may alter the texture of the cheese.
