Avocado Sauce is a creamy, zesty blend of ripe avocados, lime juice, garlic, and herbs. Perfect as a dip, dressing, or drizzle for tacos, bowls, grilled veggies, and more.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (or to taste)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro or parsley
  • 24 tablespoons olive oil or water (adjust for desired consistency)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 small jalapeño, seeded (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt or sour cream (optional, for creaminess)

Instructions

  1. Scoop avocado flesh into a blender or food processor.
  2. Add lime juice, garlic, herbs, salt, pepper, and jalapeño (if using).
  3. Blend while slowly adding olive oil or water until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add Greek yogurt or sour cream if desired and blend again.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning. Add more lime juice or liquid for a thinner sauce.
  6. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

  • To keep the sauce from browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface before sealing.
  • Add more lime or a splash of vinegar for extra tanginess.
  • This sauce is best enjoyed within 2 days for peak freshness.
