Angel Chicken Pasta is a creamy, comforting dish made with tender chicken breasts in a rich sauce of cream cheese, Italian dressing mix, and golden mushroom soup, served over delicate angel hair pasta. It’s perfect for busy weeknights or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 packet Italian dressing mix (dry seasoning)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) golden mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 12 oz angel hair pasta
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley or grated parmesan for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and stir in the Italian dressing mix.
  3. Add the cream cheese, golden mushroom soup, and chicken broth. Stir until smooth and well combined.
  4. Place the chicken breasts in a greased baking dish and pour the sauce over the top.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 45–60 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  6. While the chicken bakes, cook the angel hair pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  7. Remove the chicken from the oven and shred or slice it. Return it to the sauce and stir to combine.
  8. Serve the creamy chicken mixture over the cooked angel hair pasta. Garnish with parsley or parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • Use cream of chicken soup if golden mushroom soup is unavailable.
  • Rotisserie chicken can be used for a quicker version.
  • Add vegetables like spinach or broccoli for extra nutrition.
  • To freeze, cool completely before storing in an airtight container. Reheat with added broth or milk.
  • Swap the pasta type if desired—spaghetti or penne also work well.
