The Almighty Hamburger is the ultimate burger, packed with juicy beef, fresh vegetables, rich cheese, and savory toppings, all stacked between a soft, toasted bun. A meaty masterpiece that’s perfect for BBQs, dinners, or comfort food cravings.

Ingredients

  1. For the burger patties:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef (80% lean for juiciness)
    Salt and pepper, to taste
    1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
    For the toppings:
4 hamburger buns (brioche or sesame seed buns are great choices)
4 slices of cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese)
    1 large tomato, sliced
1 small onion, sliced into rings (optional)
    Lettuce leaves (iceberg or romaine)
    Dill pickle slices (optional)
    Bacon strips (optional)
    Avocado slices (optional)
Ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise (or your favorite condiments)

Instructions

Prepare the burger patties: In a bowl, combine the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce (if using), garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently. Divide into 4 portions and form patties slightly larger than the buns. Create a small indentation in the center of each patty.

  1. Cook the burgers: Heat a grill or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness. Add cheese in the last minute to melt. Cook bacon if adding.
  2. Toast the buns: Toast the buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
  3. Assemble the burgers: Spread condiments on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Layer lettuce, a cheese-covered patty, tomato, onion rings, pickles, bacon, avocado, or any other toppings. Top with the other half of the bun.
  4. Serve: Serve immediately with fries, coleslaw, or a refreshing salad.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, use beer instead of sparkling water in the batter.
  • Sweet potato chips make for a healthier variation.
  • If you prefer to bake instead of deep frying, bake the battered fish at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes and the chips at 425°F (220°C) for 25-30 minutes.
