Air fryer salmon patties are a quick, healthy, and flavorful option for any meal. Made with canned or fresh salmon, these patties are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, offering a delightful combination of textures. They’re perfect for busy weeknights, meal prepping, or as a light lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  1. 1 (14.75 oz) can salmon, drained and flaked
    1 large egg
    3 tablespoons mayonnaise
    ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs
    1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    ½ teaspoon dried dill
    ¼ teaspoon onion powder
    ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
    ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
    ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Lemon wedges and tartar sauce (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the drained and flaked salmon, egg, mayonnaise, panko breadcrumbs, lemon juice, dried dill, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.

  1. Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 1 inch thick.
  2. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Cook the Patties: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the patties in the basket in a single layer, ensuring they don’t touch. Lightly spray the tops of the patties with cooking spray. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Serve: Serve the patties hot with lemon wedges and tartar sauce on the side.

Notes

  1. For a spicy kick, add sriracha or cayenne pepper to the mixture.
  2. Incorporate cheese like cheddar or parmesan for added flavor.
  3. For a vegetarian option, substitute salmon with mashed chickpeas.
  4. If freezing uncooked patties, freeze individually before storing in a freezer-safe bag.
