Air Fryer Nachos are crispy, cheesy, and fully customizable, making them the ultimate quick snack or party appetizer. Layered with tortilla chips, melted cheese, and your favorite toppings, they’re ready in minutes and cooked to perfection in the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups tortilla chips
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend)
  • 1/2 cup cooked ground beef or shredded chicken (optional)
  • 1/2 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup jalapeño slices (fresh or pickled)
  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes or salsa
  • 2 tbsp sliced green onions
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (for serving)
  • 1/4 cup guacamole (for serving)
  • Fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish)
  • Olive oil spray (optional, for lining)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line the basket or tray with parchment paper or foil for easier cleanup.
  3. Create a single layer of tortilla chips in the air fryer basket.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the chips.
  5. Add desired toppings such as meat, beans, jalapeños, and tomatoes.
  6. Air fry for 3–5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and chips are crisp.
  7. Carefully remove nachos and transfer to a serving plate.
  8. Top with sour cream, guacamole, green onions, and cilantro if using.
  9. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

  • Keep toppings dry before air frying to prevent sogginess.
  • Shred cheese fresh for better melting.
  • Best served immediately; nachos don’t reheat well in the microwave.
  • Add fresh toppings like salsa or sour cream after cooking.
  • Make in small batches for best results in the air fryer.
