Ingredients
1 pound fresh yellow wax beans, trimmed
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Pat the trimmed yellow beans dry thoroughly.
In a large bowl, toss the beans with olive oil, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Arrange the beans in a single layer in the air fryer basket, cooking in batches if necessary.
Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until tender with lightly crisp edges.
Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with fresh lemon juice.
Sprinkle with grated Parmesan if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat.
Substitute green beans if yellow beans are unavailable.
Top with toasted almonds or crushed walnuts for added crunch.
Add a small amount of garlic powder before cooking for extra flavor.
Omit Parmesan or use a dairy-free alternative to keep the dish dairy-free.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3–4 minutes to restore crispness.
