Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Wings are crispy, juicy, and perfectly cooked straight from frozen in the air fryer. With no thawing or deep frying required, they’re a healthier and faster way to enjoy delicious wings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen chicken wings (no need to thaw)
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil or cooking spray
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, or your favorite seasoning blend
  • Optional: Wing sauce (buffalo sauce, BBQ sauce, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the chicken wings: If the wings are stuck together, gently separate them. Optionally, spray them with olive oil or brush with oil for extra crispiness.
  3. Season the wings: Sprinkle the wings with salt, pepper, and any seasonings like garlic powder, paprika, or onion powder. Toss to coat evenly.
  4. Air fry the wings: Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Check for doneness: Ensure the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C). If extra crispiness is desired, cook for a few additional minutes.
  6. Optional: Toss in sauce: If you want saucy wings, toss them in your preferred wing sauce after cooking. For a crispier option, drizzle sauce on top without coating the wings.
  7. Serve and enjoy: Serve your crispy wings with dipping sauces and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, cook the wings for 5 more minutes, or add 1-2 minutes during the second round of cooking.
  • You can use different wing sauces, like buffalo, BBQ, or teriyaki, for variety.
  • If the wings are breaded, adjust the cooking time to avoid overcooking the breading.
