Air Fryer Cheese Puffs are warm, crispy, and cheesy bite-sized snacks made in minutes using simple ingredients. These fluffy, savory puffs are perfect for parties, game days, or a quick cheesy craving — all without deep frying.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese of choice)
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped parsley or chives
  • Cooking spray or oil for misting

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and optional seasonings.
  2. In another bowl, beat eggs and mix in milk.
  3. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Fold in shredded cheese and herbs, if using.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  6. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  7. Drop small spoonfuls of batter into the basket, leaving space between each puff.
  8. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and puffed.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melt and texture.
  • Don’t overmix the batter to keep the puffs light.
  • Flip the puffs halfway through cooking for even browning.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat in the air fryer to retain crispiness.
  • Customize with herbs, spices, or add-ins like ham or jalapeños.
