Air Fryer Buffalo Cauliflower offers a crispy, spicy, and satisfying alternative to traditional buffalo wings. Coated in a flavorful batter and tossed in zesty buffalo sauce, these cauliflower florets are perfect for game days, parties, or a healthy snack.

Ingredients

  1. 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
    ½ cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour for a gluten-free version)
    ½ cup water
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 teaspoon paprika
    ½ teaspoon salt
    ¼ teaspoon black pepper
    ½ cup buffalo-style hot sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
2 tablespoons melted butter (use vegan butter for a dairy-free version)
    Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Wash and cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets.

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  3. Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and preheat for 5 minutes.
  4. Place the battered florets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the buffalo sauce with melted butter.
  6. Once the cauliflower is cooked, transfer it to the bowl with the buffalo sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Return the sauced cauliflower to the air fryer and cook for an additional 5 minutes to set the sauce.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Add cayenne pepper to the batter for extra heat.
  • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the cauliflower before serving for a cheesy touch.
  • For a vegan version, use plant-based butter and ensure the hot sauce is vegan-friendly.
  • For a gluten-free option, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend.
  • Mix honey with the buffalo sauce for a sweet and spicy twist.
