Air Fryer Apple Taquitos are crispy flour tortillas filled with gooey apple pie filling, rolled up, and coated in cinnamon sugar. Air-fried to golden perfection, they’re an easy, handheld dessert perfect for fall or anytime you’re craving apple pie flavors without the fuss.

Ingredients

  • 68 small flour tortillas
  • 1 1/2 cups apple pie filling (homemade or canned, chopped into small pieces)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Cooking spray (for air fryer basket)
  • Optional toppings: caramel sauce, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream

Instructions

Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.

  1. If using canned filling, chop apples into small pieces for easier rolling.
  2. Spoon 2–3 tbsp of filling onto the lower third of each tortilla. Roll tightly and place seam-side down.
  3. Brush the outsides with melted butter.
  4. Spray air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange taquitos seam-side down in a single layer.
  5. Air fry 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp.
  6. In a shallow dish, mix sugar and cinnamon. Roll warm taquitos in the mixture or sprinkle on top.
  7. Serve warm with caramel drizzle, whipped cream, or ice cream.

Notes

  1. Don’t overfill tortillas, or they may unroll or leak filling.
  2. Preheating the air fryer ensures even crisping.
  3. For homemade filling, cook diced apples with butter, cinnamon, and sugar until tender.
  4. Use flour tortillas—corn tortillas may crack.
  5. For extra indulgence, add caramel inside before rolling.
